Adding emotion into images

While I was researching about adding emotion into photographs, I found an image that also showed quite a lot of emotion even though it was staged and could be used in an advertisement. I have put the photograph below. It is of a girl laughing. Even though it is something that we would usually see in advertisements, we do look over the fact that it does show a lot of emotions just to attract more people. People would get attracted by images like that because they would think that whatever they are advertising will make them happy, not certainly laugh, such as the girl is in the photograph.

It is said that adding emotion into photographs is usually mostly about movement, sensuality, and mood. It is not done by showing a subject that is not connected with the moment. I think it is usually more natural is someone is someone is being photographed that does not know that he or she is being photographed. But obviously it can be posed as well and some actions can be included such as moving your hair, moving the body, laughing or anything like that. It is always more natural in that situation if the model is more confident. I always think that the moments clicked without any planning. They seem the most natural in a way. I also like it when the model is not looking straight to me or the camera. It always looks more natural when the model is looking somewhere else.  Another thing that I like to make sure is that the laughter does not look fake. It is very important that the laughter or the sadness clicked in images looks real and not fake, according to me.

Even though I do not need to add models into my own work, I still found it quite interesting to know all these facts because it will definitely help me with my own work as well as it is very important for me to know how to add emotion into images.
