Hamish Fulton is another artist that I have researched that
fits with the type of photography that I am doing. He is a British photographer
that was born in 1946 in London. He has attended Hammersmith College of Art
which is also in London where he has followed an art foundation course. After
this, he was accepted in Saint Martin’s School of Art with the help of his
previous tutor called David Hall.
Hamish Fulton is mostly known for his work related to
walking. In my opinion, I really like the idea behind the whole project. But I
do not think the images themselves are as interesting as the idea itself.
Following are a few examples of his work.
I think it is really interesting how he has made use of patterns in his images such as the one above. the image looks appealing to look at because of the straight lines in it. it would not look as good if there was no structure in it and it would not look as good if it was chaotic. I want to try out different patterns as well in my images which are going to make the image more interesting.
This is another example of what I mean by patterns. the side poles are going towards the middle of the image with the main attention on the three people walking in the middle of the frame.
