Adding emotions and feelings to photographs

Because I am planning to tell a story of an actual person, I have decided to research more about how to add emotion and feelings into photographs. Those are quite important for this work as I am telling a story that includes quite a lot of emotion and I would like my audience to feel what I am trying to say and how the person is feeling whose story I am trying to visualize in my images.

Even though the images below are not of sign boards or anything like what I am doing but it is quite similar in terms of the emotion that I am adding in my images. The following images helped me in terms of thinking about angles, composition, colour effects, etc. I will describe those more below.

Above is an image of a little girl laughing. I really like how the rule of thirds has been used in this image. The image has also been put into black and white. This is a good way to make the photograph give a different feel and to show two things at the same time.

The thing that I liked in this image is that it has been photographed in a very unusual way which is why it is giving the audience a  totally different feel to the photograph. I could try this out with my work as well and see what results I get.

I really liked the composition of this image because I use it quite often as well. The other thing that I really liked about this photograph is the washed out colour effect I think it gives a very dreamy effect to the image that I would like to achieve as well with my boards.

This image thought me that it is not a bad thing to stage an image because it can always turn out much better than what you could have imagined. An example of that is the image above. Even though I can tell that it is staged, it is still very dream like and works quite well as a whole.

This is another image that I have added because of its washed out colours. I think it will give a very good effect to my work as well if I try it out.

I have added this one to show that even rain can add quite a lot of feel into the image. Even if those are just images of boards.

Above is an image that I have added because of the effect that has been used for the photograph. I think if that gets used with the work that I am doing, it can give the photographs quite a happy feel to them which can be useful to use as a happy ending for my narrative.
